I selected Muhammad Herman bin Mohd Rahman when I was conducting interviews with a lot of candidates for The Apprenticeship Programme ( TAP). He became my student from 3 November to 20 December.

Since took part in the TAP, Herman worked very hard, he listened very carefully and questioned frequently. He did his photographic assignments with passion.

Herman’s work before the TAP showed some potential talents. However, he did not know what was his weakness and how to improve them. His concepts were not quite clear and his compositions did not help him to deliver what he wanted to express. After the period of training and working with me and other mentors and fellow students, he certainly made a lot of progress. His concepts were stronger and his compositional skills reached a new level. His final work of 5 photographs proved that he is a quick learner.

I think Herman has a lot of potential as a photographer or photographic artist. He has the eye. He is passionate about his work and he works hard. Given certain education and challenge, he will be able to deliver. This is why I am willing to write this letter for him. And I wish him good luck in his long future.
